How to keep steering wheel "grippy"

Here's a question for all you guys with leather steering wheels....How do you keep them soft and grippy. I find that if you don't use any leather conditioner they tend to get hard and smooth as they age and are exposed to sun.
And if you do use leather conditioner than god help you, because they are as slippery as a greased doorknob.

Anyone have any tricks to keep the grip?.....especially in cold weather when leather is naturally more slick?

Interesting question. I have no idea what the answer is, so I'll subscribe to see what the recommendation is.

i used to condition mine but even that didn't help keep it good... i'd hit it with a hair dryer to warm it up while i was conditioning it... then i'd towel it down to try and take some of the slickness off of it...

I clean my interior with regular Windex and clean the steering wheel with it too. It seems to keep it sticky for a while until the next time I clean it. Windex is probably not great for leather but it gives my old leather steering wheel some grip back.

i HATE that feeling on my steering wheel... i used windex once and will never do it again... feels like someone spilled maple syrup on it or something...
