    hoping for a solution

The fender tab under the car behind the front wheel snapped where it bolts down. The tab itself is fine, but the whole thing is just broken at the crease. The fender thing just kinda flaps around with nothing holding it in place. Is there anyway I can fix this?

Its hard to see but it sticks out a little

Hmmm...possibly 3M "Trim and Emblem Adhesive"......I've used it on several occasions for plastic repairs on cars and it's very strong and durable....if anyone else has any suggestions or thinks this will/will not hold up, feel free to chime in.....just my opinion...

some sort of 3m tape sounds like a good idea. if not, there are many different types of welding putty available for different applications. there should be one that is meant for plastic.

it's hard for me to picture how it's broken but most likely you'll need a new quarter panel.

i'm not disagreeing, i think it would be best course... but second best is.... welding putty?

the problem is it's plastic and it's a mounting point for the quarter panel. Not sure if I'd trust a putty to hold it. He could try it but I'd be skeptical as to how well that's going to work.

ouch... i dont think putty or tape would hold that together, i mean you could try, it would only cost couple dollars to try both options, but i think you'll need a new fender.
Other option is get creative and start drilling some holes and make some brackets to hold it, but a new fender would be best. (i have jumped into orion's boat, i completely agree with him now).

balls...that sucks. I mean it doesn't look too bad from the outside, it just sticks out like 1/2 an inch more than it should, but it's totally screwed from underneath i guess. I guess one of the past owners or a shop or something tried jacking it from there and I didn't notice when I bought the car. I guess I'll just leave it the way it is for now,

    thanks for the advice guys!

You can try some fast setting epoxy. It is worth a try.

I would try the epoxy route. Unscrew it put something behind it so it bows out and tape the broken piece to it and use epoxy.. Probably will hold..

That is probably better then just leaving it to flop.

Otherwise, like said above... New fender time.

I bought some plastic epoxy by Loctite. Stuff works great, pretty much fixed the problem!

    Thanks for all the help!

I can snap a pic by request if wanted

I'm late, but I would have told you to use epoxy, too. That problem usually results from using that tab as the lifting point. Most 'mechanics' at tire shops ignorantly think that and quickly roll the floor jack right below and start jackin' away. The tab bends almost immediately causing the plastic panel to bow out in front of the door (unless it breaks like yours did). Some have sworn that it was like that before they started. I've had it happen to two of my Camaros.

The water is rain from today...it looks messy from here but you'd never be able to tell unless you look under the car. It looks to be a very strong hold, but yea only time will tell. If it breaks apart I'll just glue it again

Here is what it looks like from the side

If it does not work unbolt it and melt it back together with a soildering iron on both the front and the back, then after it cools add a small amount of the plastic weld or whatever you used to the front side of the fender.
