    Hood shaking

I was driving up to my grandparent's today up I-95 towards Baltimore, and decided to sucum to this civic tailgating me. I took it up to 130ish and then noticed something strange...my hood was shaking. It's never done that before aznd I've been up to 160 on more then one occasion.

I checked the latches and everything seems to be ok. I was just wondering if I should be worried about this or not.

check the bolts on your hinges, and check the bolts on the latch, also check the locking mechanism on the car see if its warped or loose. Lastly , when the hood is open behind each light is rubber levelers that screw up and down (you can do this with your hand) check the play with them. to see if they touch when the hood is closed put a small amount of grease , or something that comes off easily, even a oil based pastel crayon will work , on the top of the rubber stoppers. when you open the hood you will see marks if they touch. the stoppers should provide support for the hood but not overtly be pushing up, check your fender and hood gap as well they should be relatively even. It has to be either the latch, hinges at the back , or these stoppers that arent adjusted right

could have been the direction of wind even a slight sidewind can cause that but do check all the bolts and the latch

Like said above, just check all bolts and latch, and then check them again. My buddy had a Z28, going about 110 his hood popped up, almost like in the movies, ended up totaling out his car because of it. The worst part is we had hood pins sitting in the garage and where going in the next day...
