High Capacity Filter
Sometime ago, a buddy of mine stated that someone had a higher capacity oil filter for LS1s.
It was just a little longer body but still gave good ground clearance.
Does anyone have info on this.

AC Delco has a truck filter that is longer that works. This is what I use and have used since 2002 when I bought the car new. Zero issues. Part number is PF59.

Verify the part number. I am going off memory as I don't have access to the car at the moment. Pretty sure that is correct though.

Try the TG3675 from Fram.
It's their 6x filter for 5.7 liter truck engines.
It has about another linear inch in length of filter capacity.Be who you are and say what you feel 'cause people who mind don't matter, and people who matter don't mind.'

Here is a shot of the Fram extended guard, (shorty), and the longer truck version ACdelco PF61. Major size difference.
These Fram extended guard filters are still a relatively new line for them so they don't cover all numbers yet. Hopefully at some point they will.

I use the Mobil 1 M1-206 which is an extended filter, good flowing (per Sarge). It does extend down a little further from the engine block, so if your vehicle is radically lowered there maybe an issue.

Thanks for the correction FBJ. I didn't think 59 sounded right. That's definitely the one I use you've posted above.
