Help my centering pin fell out of the cam
My bolts backed out of my sprocket and the chain fell off and you can imagine the rest. The previous owner had the cam installed by a guy that did not understand the benefits to locktite . I was cleaning out the pan I found the centering pin, it was in good shape but now can I simply put the pin in and hope that it stays, or is there something I can do to prevent from future failure ????

Hopefully you didn't damage any other internals. I dunno much about cams, but other members will chime in.

The pin should be very snug in the cam, if it's not either the PIN or the cam are damaged. Tap it in and should be firmly in the hole.
