is it throwing any codes? If you think it is missing check your plug wires.

If it's still blinking after the plug/wire install get the code(s) read ASAP. Even if it isn't the code should be stored in "history" for several cycles.

Wow mine is doing Exactly the same thing since friday, running crappy, misfiring and s.E.S. light blinking. I have new plugs so I ordered new wires now you got me worried it won't help. Keep us up to date if you figure something out and I will do the same. Oh and I had it put on a computer and it was code for misfire but it's like no sh.t I didn't need the comp. to tell me that. Oh and friday at the track you could see a spark being thrown between the plug and headers. Anybody got a clue, you could help two of us at once.

If your plug is arching too the header then like said above you have found your issue. Replace that or make sure its on good and tight and the plug isnt cracked. If your wire is melted take a look around and see why it melted. Ex leaking header or gasket.

gonna change my wires tonight and check the old ones for melting. They have 120K on them, the original wires so it seems likely they are the problem. Thanks as always. Oh and just in case what does a new PCM run?

Blue- 2002 SLP Camaro SS
Also running crappy
My camaro is doing something similar but only between 2500 and 3000 rpm. it doesn't always do it and i did have a misfire once. i have LT and no cats. GM service garage scanned it and thought it was a fuel problem. they cleaned the injectors and new fuel filter, but no help came from that. the scanner also said my car was missing on every cylinder. They have no clue what the problem is for sure. i'm going to get some new O2 sensors and i'll let you know if they help me.

You said it stinks of sulfur? I would check the cats. Years ago my '87 Iroc did the same thing, then the carpet on the passenger side caught fire from the heat...
Just my 2 pennies...
