    Help getting shift boot off.

    Hi all,
    My car had a leather shift knob with a hurst "H" on it, SLP sells something that looks the same. It had a hole in it when I bought the car so I am replacing it, the problem is it doesnt twist off any way. Anyone have one of these that can tell me what to do?

    thanks, clamped it in the vice different and used a big pair of channel locks and it finally popped.
