    help

I put a spec stage 2 in my 98 t/a. When i put the trans in the car it was about 1/4 inch from butted up with the bellhouseing. So i started two bolts and slowly pulled it up. It bolted up with light press but the line that hooks to the slave wouldnt go in. So i backed the bolts off and it went right in. With the trans is still 1/4 inch off the bell houseing so i put the bolts in and it pulled up.I put it all back together and the clutch slipps slightly any ideas

You could have damaged the pilot bearing by using the bolts to draw the trans up. The input shaft may not have been lined up perfectly with the pilot bearing.
