    help

    my trans am is not makin volts i changed the alt and the batt the volts stay at 11.5 to 12.5. when the car is on with no light ect then the volts r at 11.5 when i turn the light on they go up to 12.5 and stey there even if i turn the ac and fan all the way up and when i turn them off they go back down to 11.5 or 12 and they will stay there anyone know how to fix it? please help me

    Maybe the little wire for the plug is broken some where. I've heard of that happening several times on this site now.

    check the wire that cutlass mention. You could have a falling or bad alternator too. If the cable is good then try to get the alternator bench tested.
