    heads and headers...

okay so i'm removing the heads on my 2000 firehawk. realized that who ever installed the headers/ exhaust, welded the headers to the y pipe and cats. Anyone got an idea how i can drop the headers at least two inches to get to the bottom head bolts?

I have the entire exhaust setup unbolted and just don't seem to have enough clearance.

oh and i have kooks headers ....

Honestly at that point I'd get a sawzall and make a cut just where the collector and the ORY connect an get some band clamps and return it to it's correct setup. It would truly make you life easier

I guess the shop wanted to make sure the exhaust didn't leak. Not really bright imo.

If you had a torch, I would have suggested melting the welds and use band clamps.

An idiot did the same thing to my car when i first bought it, the headers were welded to the y pipe. We cut it off, welded some flanges on it and bolted em up
