Having problems
Ok i just rebuilt my ls1 motor i put everything new stock oil pump stock pistons, new lifters i put a comp cam 224 camshaft 243 ported cylinder heads ls6 intake, only thing i reused was the rocker arms...so when i first started it it sounded good but like 4 days later i turned it on and i started hearing a ticking noise close to the intake...and when it warms up more you hear it a little bit louder...my friend said it sounds like the lifters...and also oil pressure gauge is at 0.......but when you give it a little gas pressure gauge goes up.......help please thanks

Silver & Blue- 02 Camaro SS, 04 GTO
The oil perssure should not go below 45psi. My 02 SS starts at almost 80psi and when it gets hot and at idle it will go to just below 50psi. 0psi is not good, it sounds like a bearing clearence may be off.

do not run it until you get the oil pressure problem figured out. The first thing that comes to mind is the o-ring on the oil pump pick up tube. Are you positive you didn't pinch or nick that o-ring?
