Which Gears ??

I have a 2000 Ws6 with current mods and future mods in sig. I was wondering which gears would be best to upgrade to 3.73? any help would be appreciated ..thanks

If you are A4 equipped, I would not go larger than 3.73 gears. If manual, go with 4.10. That's what I did with my A4 (3.70 gears on a Ford 9" with Eaton POSI and Moser Aluminum Housing).

If you have a T/A WS6.. dont you already have 3.23s?? But either way, autos go 373.. 6 speeds go 410.

This is the first Ws6 I have had so im still getting used to all the things in the car. I was looking through old threads and most people went with 3.73 so thats what I was gonna go with. Can you tell a difference from the stock 3.23 ?

Yeah, but your gas mileage will suffer... just be ready.

But in all reality.. I would drive it for atleast 6 months.. really get used to how the car drives, controls, etc. THEN start modding it....

I have had it for a while and have the mods in my sig. I wasnt planning on changing the gears but the more I read a lot of people were doing it but im still not 100 % sure that I want to do that

Don't do a gear swap only. You'll just waste your money. Just wait until the thing blows up...and it will. Then, go out and buy a tough 9" rear with the 3.73 A4 or 4.10 M6.

Not so, your RPM is only 500 higher between 3.23's and 3.73's, I still got over 21MPG until I installed the 3K stall, that lowered my gas milage to 18MPG, however I do not mind for the vehicle is ALOT more fun to drive.
