    GEAR Help

    I drive a 96 LT1 M6 Z28.
If anyone saw my other posts, they would know I been driving my car for about a month. So far from all my races it was from a small roll in 2nd gear and I floored it and I went up to around a 100ish in 2nd gear before I shifted into the 3rd. Compared to everyone else it seems pretty high so am I doing it wrong or maybe I dont have stock gears? I thought I would have 3.42s but maybe something else, is there any way I can check to find out if I got new gears? Or any advice on maybe something I am doing wrong? At wat RPMs do you guys shift at?

Your best bet is just to run your car and learn it and see where your powerband is, although You should be at the top of 3rd when rounding 100mph. Whats your rpm at when ur at 100mph?

jack up the rear of the car. rotate the wheels and count how many times the driveshaft rotates. 1 turn of the wheels and 3 and a 1/2 turns of the driveshaft will mean 3.42.
