Gauges flash, and all indicator lights
Tuesday As I was driving home, my gauges flashed on/off and I got a P0650 Code from it. When the flashing was occuring everything turned off Radio, Odometer, and when it would come back all the lights would turn on: Service engine, abs, asr ect. This problem just started it was wierd, it did it for about 3 seconds and then it stopped and ran just fine. This morning it did it again but this time it didn't give me a DTC.
Has anyone else ran into this? I was thinking maybe the battery is loose. I know for a fact that the positive bolt was stripped by the doofus that installed my system. Battery is knew about 3 months.
Hope its not a PCM problem/ Does it sound like it could be?

Since you allready said your battery terminal is "rounded off" i would start there.
1. Ensure your battery terminals are good and tight and clean
2. Any aftermarket acc. that are hardwired, ensure the wiring is in good shape.
3. Ensure your Maf is instailed correctly with the arrows pointing towards the engine.
4. Check your pcm Connectors and ensure there clean and tight
5. Check all your grounds and visualy inspect the main wiring harness.
The computer sets this code when it detects a voltage differential.

Also check the two ground wires on the back of the drivers side head.

Well I was checking the car and I found something wierd. When I was moving the wiring that goes to the alternator and temp sensor the throttle body would change positions I could hear the motor going nuts. So I isolated it to the temp sensor I would wiggle the wires and my radio would turn off and the car would want to die. Anyone heard this before?

well FYI guys the car hasnt done that sh$% anymore and even my odometer used to dim and get bright sometimes, almost like the frequency would slow way down that the eye could catch. Everything is solid now and i tied up the wiring well so just in case someone has this problem or hears of someone that does u can help them out.

sounds like you have a broken wire somewhere in that area. Check the wires good because it might not be in the jacket might just be the wires inside it.
GOOD LUCK.
thanks,
Mark

well I tied the wire and wiggled them one by one. I started at the alternator and it wouldn't try to shut off. I moved up higher until I could do it on commant and it was way too close to the plug connector of the temp sensor so what i did was bend and close up the female side to that it would be a snug fit. Now it seems fine. If it does it again you bet ill cut that wire and replace it. Thanks for the advice.
