Your tune will be the focal point of your gains. That said, each car is a little different and even each day you get it dynoed it could be different.
Is hp numbers your only goal?Last edited by KMdef9; 02-15-2012 at 10:43 PM.

What kind of dyno? Mustang, Dynojet, ect.? And as Kevin stated, I wouldn't worry about dyno numbers. Track times will tell you much more.

^^ This. Add some stall to that A4 and it'll put a permanent smile on your face.

well my next project will be. TCI 3,000 Stall, 12 Bolt Rear End with 3.73 Gears, Full Rear Suspension, ported 241 heads, 102m Fast IntakeMainfold with a 102m TB and a Re-Tune with NT-05 Tires. Looking around 470rwhp and times around low 7's in the 1/8miles.

You won't be hitting no 470rwhp with those mods. That cam is too small. I'd also suggest a larger stall than a 3000.
My guess is MAYBE 430ish.Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

I went semi-conservative at 3,200 for my stall... and regret it. At least consider running 3,600 -- that is what our cars really need, especially if you run at the track.

Yea 3000 is really conservative for a LS1...I went 3600 and wish I went higher lol....and like the other guys have said your not going to come anywhere near 470 hp in an auto w/ that cam...or any for that matter w/ ported 241's.

If you want 450+rwhp staying naturally aspirated you need a large cam, great heads (not 241's or 243's), and a larger intake with all of the other supporting mods.
Great heads = AFR or Trickflow. Cheapest heads on a budget build = 241's. Nothing wrong with porting and polishing the stock heads. They just will not provide the same performance increase as a better head. Most use a 243 on a budget build because they provide a decent performance advantage over the 241's and at a budget friendly price.
Lastly, you REALLY need to get a stall to truly unleash the performance aspect of your vehicle with your cam selection. Fuddle and Vigilante are two name brand popular choices. You also need a transmission cooler when installing an aftermarket stall aka torque converter (you're welcome Jodi).

well im trying to get around 450 - 500 all motor.
their a trans am with a ls2 motor, AFR Heads, 230' Cam, Victory Jr Intake Mainfold pushing 550rwhp. and 790rwhp on 300 Shot
i was thinking ported AFR Heads or Ported 243's. and then a 92mm ported Fast Intake Mainfold with 60Ib Injectors with E85 Tune.
