    fuel pump

    is fuel pump behind driver rear tire i have 1998 z a zinging noise just started

    are you talking about before the car starts you hear a whine??? cause that is normal... tha tis just the pump priming... if you hear a whine while driving that means your back lash on your rear gears could be off or not shimmed right...

    I believe you're describing the bearings whining. Read the following thread. Might be worth trying and buy you some time on swapping the pump out. If you do swap the pump I highly recommend Racetronix. Where at in Ohio?
