Fuel Pressure Problem!!!
Here is the deal i have a 2002 Pontiac trans am ws6. I was having issues with the fuel pump, so i changed it to a granatelli fuel pump 255lph which fixed the problem for good couple of months, but now every time i start the car it will miss the first and second crank before it starts. I put a fuel pressure gauge on it to test the pressure and its only getting 38psi on idle, but i think i should be getting 60psi, I'm thinking i might need a Regulator because mine is still stock but the fuel pump is not. Has anybody experienced this problem before or maybe have an idea of what could be going on.

yea, I'm sorry for some reason i was thinking of the filter that snapped on the fuel pump itself, but yea i put a brand new fuel filter on when i installed the new pump.

ok then the low pressure must be the pump or regulator then.

Yea i think its the regulator. I was just reading up on ls1 tech, and some guys are taking their regulator and gutting them out to get more fuel pressure, so that sounds interesting. They were saying it works, just got to put the ring back on so it wont leak.
