I am not saying you should do this but it is possible. You can remove the screen from your Mass air flow sensor (smoother airflow or something), bypass the throttle body coolant flow through (supposedly cooler intake charge... I dunno, never tested it), while not free it is super cheap to trick your Intake air temp sensor to give you more fuel by using resistors or moving it I think. Never done this either so i cant comment on the effects of them. Just be careful and make sure you know what your doing before you start tearing stuff apart.

Not recommended. The stock MAF is good for power levels up to 500 h.p. Modifying it in any fashion alters its reporting to the PCM and throws off your fueling. Don't de-screen it, don't de-blade it, and certainly don't port it.

Agreed. Descreened mine when I first got it and then the motor started pinging on the big end. Had to find another housing to replace it. Live and learn.

haha all those are bogus mods, except TB bypass. that one works well. and actually leaving the screen in is to smooth air, if it is removed then it "breaks" as it flows thru.

There is a coolant line that runs from the heads to the throtte body and from the throttle body to the radiator. You bypass the throttle body by pulling the hoses off and connecting them together with an adapter. As a result, hot engine coolant no longer circulates around the throttle body and you supposedly get a cooler air charge into your engine. Cooler = denser = more power.

And those with higher post counts should know better than to flame another member who is trying to help. Especially when the issue has already been dealt with.

Very easy to do, Simply take off the lower section of the air box off of the vehicle and cut out the plastic spaces that the air filter sits over. Don't cut up the Air filter support it's self, just the lower box portion it's self.
