Free HP
How can an air pump be used to make hp?
I removed the air pump from my 2000 TransAm and wandering how to use it now to my advantage.

Less weight. I think the old stand by is that 100 lbs. off the front of the car is good for 1/10 of a second at the track. You have 85 lbs. or so to go.

I heard you can use it as a vacume pump, to decrease crank case pressure.
Is it possible?

This is gonna sound unbelievable, but I think they rigged them to suck a vaccum on the crankcase to kind of help pull the pistons down. And help with ring seal too.

[QUOTE=PFM;2346903]Only proven way I know is to sell the air pump on Craigslist. Then use the money to buy gas. Then use the gas to make HP. [QUOTE]
