    Fog Light Replacement?

One of my Fog Lights went out. (not parking lights) Is it just a bulb replacement?

More than likely its just the bulb.

The book calls for an 880, but you can use an 893 bulb, which is much brighter.

I bought 893's in Silverstar for the ultimate in foglight illumination

They are kind of a pain to get to, I accessed mine from the top by reaching down between the front bumper and the subframe.

What is the difference between the 880s and 893s? Other then the 893s are brighter.

The 893 fit right into the housing? Or do u need to modify something?

Its identical to the 880 in fitment so nothing needs to be modified.

I may try those 893's can you really tell a difference, and I always acces from the bottom. remove a couple bolts pain in the ass but once you get everything out of the way its easy.

There r access panel 'winglets' that can b partially unbolted and swung downwards at the corners of the front end, beneath the car. At least my Camaro does, I assume the Pontiacs do too?

Yes, just remove two small bolts and the little plastic door swings down. THe fog light is only a few inches away. The whole process to change those fog lamp bulbs takes about 3 minutes each.... That is, doing it the right way. I can't imagine changing those bulbs from the top. My arms are too big snake down that maze from the top.

So the 893s will fit the Camaro's as well, with no modifications?

on a ta its not this easy . . . the foglights are in front of the actual impact bar. the maros and birds are easy because the foglights are mounted farther out to the side, which makes them easily accessibly from the access panel.

Thats what I'm wondering,,,since the original poster has a T/A,,,,and those foglights are vastly different from a camaro.

I wouldn't think they take the same bulb,,,,maybe they do
