    Flywheel won't budge

I have a 6 speed manual transmission. My engine seems to be locked up, I tried to start it one morning and broke the starter off. It gave no other indications anything was wrong other than the throw out bearing has been ringing ever since my car was setting in some high water about 4 months and 900 miles ago. I had let the car sit for 30 days and changed all fluids before driving it just in case. I don't think its the motor, can the flywheel get locked up somehow due to transmission problems?

Put it in 3'rd gear. With the hood up, rock the car back & watch the belt on the motor. See if it turns. If it does, you'll know it's free !

Thanks, yes it's loose but the starter broke the ear off my block and I was trying to fix it without welding. The stainless bracket didn't work, even with 1/16 movement it breaks the starter, almost like it's locked-up. I guess it just takes a lot of starter power to crank that motor. I will have to weld it, that's going to cost me.

Just wondering if you tried to push start it yet ? That is a bummer... That will be some serious welding...

Yes, but I have heard people have welded them before.Tried to push start but am thinking it will not due to clutch safety switch.

know your clutch safey switch enables the starter not the engine from running,

be careful when push starting as i think your pcm miight hick up a few times it may not idle the first time good lukc
