    First time oil change!

Hello, I just bought a 95 Z28, and I am trying to change the oil my self, I have a few questions: One what kind of oil? I live in a temperate area, winter 40-60F, summer 75-110, also the car has 100,041 miles on it. The previous owner had put in full synthetic, and I would like to continue that. The second question is what type of filter? Seeing as though I have no clue about F-Bodies, or their engines.

    And a summery:
1- What type of oil? 40-110'F
    2- What type of filter?

Additionally, I have Kragen-O'Reilly, and walmart to work with.

    Thanks!

PS - I have read the "I'm an Oil Junkie sticky, its just that there are too many opinions there, and on different cars.

    Do you need a step-by-step?

Penzoil Platinum 5W-30 is a nice synthetic to use. They have a newer Penzoil synthetic (forget the name) out now too, but no one has posted up on it to my knowledge. Avoid Fram filters and you'll be fine. You can go with AC Delco, Wix, Napa Gold (same as Wix), Purolator... all better than cheapie filters.
