fan noise?
I have an '02 T/A M6. for the first couple minutes after I start my T/A cold, I can hear a fan noise under the hood and then it stops. There is a small filter attached to a long tube that goes to somewhere I havn't been able to find. (there is suction at this filter) Anyone know exactly what this is and what it's purpose is? Just curious is all.
Also is there anything other than the usual stuff I should check before making my 2500 mile round trip to CA next week? I'm changing the oil (I'm using Mobile 1 5-30, WIX filter, changing the antifreeze - DEX-Cool. rotating the tires as they are still the originals - 32,000 miles. Check trans & rear end fluid.)
Thanks!

Sounds like its your smog pump, Nothing to worry about, Its just helping your car heat up and get to op, conditions to minimize exhaust.
As far as your trip, sounds like you have it covered, just do a visual inspection and make sure your comfortable with everything. Still got the stock tires huh, thats wild, mine didnt last long at all.
Goodluck on your trip
