Failed State Inspection need help!
I bought my 01SS almost a year ago and now it will not pass inspection.
The original owner told me he completely removed the A.I.R system and removed the cats.
I just recently had a tuner remove the service light. I drove 55miles and then went for inspection. This is what came up.
Evaporator status not avail
secondary air status not avail
o2 heater status not avail
Does anyone know what i can do to fix this problem?

Do you mean they were scanning the car and checking for codes, and thats what came up on the scanner??? Because that's what it sounds like.
If that's the case, I'm thinking the previous owner didn't delete the codes properly?? Or maybe not at all.
If I remember right, it gives you 2-3 choices when you disable a code. You will need tuning software to go in and change that.
Or I may be way off base here and you are talking about something else???

clearing the codes does no good. i had this issue with my girlfriends mustang. when you clear a code, the computer begins to read all "cleared" sensors again while its doing that it will show whatever codes you cleared to be "unavailable" or "systems not ready"....but once it becomes "ready" or "available" it will pop the code back up again and your light will be on. you either have to fix the problem, or get a bootleg sticker, or delete the sensor with a tune.

What did they do to remove the light? Did they tune out the rear o2's and air system or did they just turn the light off?

to me, "not available" a)means either they turned it off and the computer hasnt recognized it yet, and means you need to drive it more so the computer will recognize, or B) means they simply cleared the code and it hasnt recognized that yet, but when it does it will simply generate another ses light.

He didn't just turn the codes off they deleted them. Not avaliable passes in nc as long as it doesn't come up not ready or failed then your good here. Those 3 are probably not the reason you failed. I am however pretty sure you might need to drive the car more. My gf had the same issue with her car and she had to drive it nearly 300 miles before it all clicked over.
