    F-Body super shops or gurus?

Ok, I still can't find my VIN on my car. This is getting frustrating, I can't register it untill I find a VIN location other than the dash and doors. I need to show the VIN in 2 places, and my door RPO stickers aren't there.

Does anyone know of a great shop that specializes in F-Bodies that might be able to help me? There's got to be some kind of F-Body guru that knows these cars like the back of their hand.

    Thanks!

What year is it? First Gen and Second Gen both have a well known hidden vin. Third and Fourth I would think should at least have a partial vin on the engine to verify it is the original to the car.

It's a '00. I looked at the engine and tranny, they have numbers, but they don't correspond to the vin. I called Pontiac, they said the engine/tranny numbers aren't car specific, they just tell you info about the parts.

I've talked to two dealers and Pontiac, so far nobody knows of any other locations.

Given the vin # you already have on the dash, will the dealership make you some new door stickers?

Nope. I talked to two dealers and GM, they all said that the stickers can't be reproduced.

I actually talked to the dealership that sold the car new, they said they can send me all the info on the car,but not the stickers.

I actually somewhat resolved this. I talked to someone at the registry today that actually knew what they were talking about. It seems they have a main garage in Providence to do these inspections. If your car fails, you go to them. They put it up on a lift and hunt down the number. Hopefully they'll find it.
