Exhaust tips discolored

i have a stock 02 firehawk and my left exhaust tips are backer than my right, as in there is more soot on the inside of the tips, any ideas?

aybe one side has better flow or a more direct way out so under normal driving it uses one side more than the other? maybe some sort of blockage on the other side?

I get just a touch of black at the bottom of each tip. Takes a few weeks to build up to the point that it is noticeable and cleans right off. The buildup is equal on both sides for us. I wouldn't worry much if there was a difference as the exhaust is stock. Pipes run 2 into 1 into 2 and out.

yeah good point didnt think about that so it's not like one side is running different than the other.. ok good

Yeah ive seen it many times on custom exhausts...just means that there is more flow, for whatever reason, coming out one side over the other.
On our stock 2-1-2 setup...i wouldnt worry a whole lot about it. as long as its not really blocked up by something.

Can u put ur hand by each tip as its running and does the exhaust pressure feel about the same?
