exhaust sputter
after my header, slp catback install (no cats) i noticed that when my car is idleing after it gets hot it will sputter or puff out the exhaust almost like a miss but not really i runs fine and dosent miss at higher rpms just notice it at idle.

big bump on this!! im trying to figure out what this is also mine does this also a puff sound and its driving me crazy what this is. everyone chip in if you have any idea what this is.. my setup is no cats ory y pipe dynomax bullet muffler.. advise please

it almost sounds like a miss, but runs find at high rpms!

well, it could be missing at idle and not at wot. How many miles on the plugs and wires?

new plugs and plug wires and usually if it is electricial you will notice it when the car gets under a load! but it runs and sounds fine other than at idle

pewter- 01 trans am ws6
new plugs and wires also. only does it at idle never had a problem at any rpm. its like a puff noise. slight miss noise.

is it a constant rythmic puff puff puff or an occasional puff? Is it a BIG puff or just slight puff?
Have you guys had the computer retuned for your mods? Headers require a tune on these cars.

Maybe its unburned gas in the exhaust that popping off? Have you had your car retuned since the header install?
