exhaust help
hey guys i have a 99 camaro with a flow master exhaust it has headers back exhaust i don't like it and i bought the cme tips and valence i want to change the sounds and quality to something like magna flow , borla , etc which one is the best one to buy and what would i need to change just the muffler ?

SLP loud mouth or if you dont want it real loud they have the loud mouth 2 and the powerflow. but i really the the slp exhaust
2001 Camaro SS, LM 1, BMR LCA, relocation brackets, BMR springs, adj panhard bar, smooth below, lid, sub-frame connectors weld on, strut brace
2000 WS6, ls6 intake, sub-frame connectors, slp maf, slp cat delete with slp y-pipe, electric cutout, strut brace, smooth below, slp lid, bmr LCA and RLB

as far as what to change someone else will have to take that one. Out of your list there I would probably go with a magnaflow. Are you wanting it loud? An electric cutout is a ton of fun to have and pretty cheap too.....by far my favorite mod to my car. Just a fun mod to have. I ran my cutout open 24/7 before the heads/cam and when I had cats.

loud is good im just looking for something good thats better then these flow masters and will sound good with my cme tips , and the cut outs are they easy to install

Asking which exhaust set-up here is the best is like asking what's your favorite color...
Everyone will have a different opinion.
This really is a personal preference question and cannot really be answered by "others". You need to hear different set-ups yourself and choose which one YOU like. What someone else likes will not mean you like it.

Lm-raspy but loud as fuck. a TA around here has the full SLP Exhaust with the LM and it was raspy for MY taste...
try the LMII...

If you get rid of the cat converters then pretty much every y piped, catback exhaust sounds raspy... except the Magnaflow. Thats one reason the Magnaflow is popular here.

I liked the B&B triflo cause everyone and their mom dosent have it. But I would suggest going to youtube and listing to a bunch to find what you like.

I suggest you listen to cars with different set-ups in REAL LIFE and not online. Videos online of "sound" are not anywhere close to what the car actually sounds like and sound will depend on several factors when recorded.
I know it's more difficult to do, but a local car show could be one possible way. It's the only real way to "hear".

slp is ghey and has a nasty raspy sound.
