Exhaust Hang-Comparison Request
Hello Slick 50s,
This past week I notice the hang of my exhaust. I have not bothered to ramp the puppy up for a check as of yet. Check out the image and do a comparison against yours for me please. Is my exhaust pipe at the proper clearance or one of the hangs have came loose?
Thanks good buddies!
Matt

All Normal--------------
Thumbs up Dude!
Thanks for the 411 on the hang. I only noticed it for the first time as I was taking a break at work and admire my vehicle from across the street hahahah! Shit it looks low. I'm suprise that it doesn't drag on the road stop bumps.
I didn't even noticed it when I was cutting the pipes to do the exhaust on both of my Trans Am.
I guess it only looks low.
Thanks and good week,
Matthew

Thanks F-Body Brother!
Never noticed it until now. I cut and did the exhaust pipe..... I won't be doing Y or H pipes.... shit, it probably would even look lower if I did 3 inch pipes from front to rear....... good thing that hang is a Flat pipe huh?
Good week,

Come On Man!!!!
Couldn't be that bad man!!!!! We pratically have the same vehicle! You really want to get rid of it? hahahahaha Let me have your hood for my Silver Vehicle hahahahahaha You must have lowered your vehicle didn't you? Pontiac couldn't put out a vehicle that drags from regular driving conditions.
On the flip side man!!!

Too bad I just spent $340 on 555r's. Gotta sell those/rims first. 18's might be a bit much, I'll try to get away with some 17's.

I have true duals also. Mine were only about an inch from the ground when first installed and my car is not even lowered sitting stock 17's so I lifted it back up took it off and got to looking at the x pipe and realized it was improperly marked. I had it upside down. put it back on the correct way and now have about 3-4 inches. still pretty low. I feel your pain. I avoid speed bumps and rough roads like the plague. But then agian I always avoided them.

That is correct for the stock POS flattened pipe, I had mine replaced with a custom fabricated 2 1/2" mandrel bent round pipe, and the installer was able to "hug it up" closer to the frame. It does not hang that low anymore, and their is no vibration or banging on the frame.
