    07 MAZDASPEED6 GT

    Question ET street w/a hole in it: Tube & run it or new tir

    Must've ran over something b/c 1 of my ET streets now has a small hole in it. Should I tube it & run it or just get another tire?

    I would start by asking in the Tire and Wheel forum.


    Then I would replace the tire before racing again. Compromised tire could mean a serious accident.

    The hole is a little bigger than pinhole if that.

    And what if it tears a little on a launch and then rips completely once the tire gets taller at speed?

    Why do you have to be right? The tire has less than 50 miles on it. Now I have to buy a new one. Ugh!

    Get a patch installed inside the tire. You should run tubes with those any ways !

    I wouldn't plug it. But a tire shop can dismount it and put a patch inside. Most service centers only have plug kits. You'll find some one.

    Could go buy a patch kit, have them remove the tire, you patch it in front of them, then tell them to put it back on !!!

    I'm gonna get a patch tomorrow & patch it myself then have them remount it w/a tube in it this time. More $ wasted weee!
