Is Eratic Idle normal after removing PCM?

Hello guys I removed the PCm today for about 4 hours so I can route some wires. I took alll precations, like disconecting the battery. well when I hooked everything up and I started the car the SES light stayed on but when I started it It went away! but the car didnt want to stay on during the first minute. and was idling wierd then went back to normal, but then as i was parking the car it felt as if it wanted to shut off. is this normal or did i leave a bad connection somewhere? thanks.

give it a little bit to relearn the idle. I'd imagine that's what it is. Just needs a few minutes of idling.

Takes about 80 miles of driving for it to relearn everything.

I re-checked everything and turns out that my postive post is broken. whenver I tighen it. it loosens up as I keep turning it. The Idle is fine but whenever I would slightly step on the gas after releasing it the idle will fall on its face and then bump back to 750 but the car hasnt never shut off. Looks like I'll be getting a new battery. as for my current one already has expired.

when you get that new battery, take your car to the local autozone or discount and have them check your alternator. if the battery doesn't stay connected well while it's running that can have a disastrous effect on the alternator, as the alternator's voltage regulator looks to the battery for a reference voltage.

well, whiney noises are a bit different. that's more likely just a bearing issue. if you have a shop press and associated tools it's probably a $5 to $10 issue and could be solved in an hour or two. if you don't have one, 1) sucks to be you, 2) find a shop that works on electric motors and such. i'm sure they'll do it for you for a small fee if you bring them the alternator.

okay, well the squeeling comes and goes, but what really is getting me is the positive post. It wont stay on tightly. Its causing all sorts of problems.
