Engine Swap uping to the new 427ci 505 hp

ok i'm new and i'm sure this will be a good one. has anyone attempted to install the new LS6 (?) LSX in a 95 camaro? I understand GM is going to offer the new 427 505HP as a crate engine and i was wondering what steps are involved to put this in place of my old LT1 which is approaching 135K miles. thanks john

youll need a new everything

the engine will cost aloooot. around 15K i believe

and much much more

I'd seriously look at a crate LS1 for around $5-6K. Hell the money saved you can go over 600RWHP with just bolt ons and a shot. Very dependable and rugged as hell....still have some coin left over for gas to go kill 427's all day and night.

yeppers. the ls1 ls2 ls3,4,5,6,7. all sounds good to me. but i need to look at a lot of things like engine mounts, and or replacing the k member, raidiator, computer etc. if they can put one in a first gen camaro, then it can be done on a 4th.

there is no ls3, 4,5...not that I know of anyway

theres an LS4 it comes in the new impalas. its a 5.3 liter v8

I was looking on GM Parts direct site last night and saw an LS6 long block for about $5k
That'd be a cool place to start.
