    Engine bay decals

Does anyone know of a good adhesive to use on engine bay decals that will not make a mess? I have decals lifting on two of our cars. One is on a smooth painted metal surface and the other is on a very lightly textured plastic. Other than that the decals are in good shape. I thought about Duco clear cement, but I am afraid of the mess I might make.

Do you have a link? I did consider attempting to remove the decal and then use adhesive to apply it to a thin metal plate. This could then be attached back in the engine bay without much concern for any adhesive seepage. The plate would hold the decal flat and would not need to have adhesive right up to its edges.

That shit kind of scares me... probably no way to get it off either if it oozes without dissolving plastic or removing paint.

Gorilla Glue is freaking awesome .. you just have to make sure you don't EVER want it to come off ... I use that stuff on just about everything and have never had any issues'

I found the "Ram Air" decal through Hawk's Third Gen. I didn't try through the dealer, but was sent a PM with a part number. Still having trouble with it staying down - at some point I'll have to bite the bullet and try some kind of adhesive.

It was washed and dried good to remove any residue or manufacturing mold release agents. I think the fact that it has a slight texture to it isn't helping things.

That might work as long as it is thin enough to go under a decal. Something with just a touch more "stick" to it would probably do it.
