ebrake
Starting today, whenever I pull my ebrake I get a burnt smell, does anyone know if this is an actual pad or whatever is used for the ebrake going out or any other ideas of what it could be, if there is a pad, how hard is it to change and where is it located, thanks
car is a 2000 SS vert

I'm not sure on the smell park of it... but you actually have little brake shoes that go on the inside of your back rotors for your ebrake... I was having problems with when I would pull mine my car would roll if I didn't pull the piss out of it, I went out and got some new rotors and that made the world of difference I only have to pull it after half as far as I did before and it stays a lot tighter... You might try that first because the emergency brake shoes are VERY expensive and be careful when you buy them because sometimes that 80$ price tag is only one side believe it or not.. I hope this helps some

If the smell is from inside the car take a look at all the wiring under the console.
