    Dying window motor? Ebay?

I have a dying driver's window motor I believe. It moves very slowly and makes all kinds of racket while going up and down. Sometimes it looks like it may never make it back up. I found replacement window motors on Ebay for around $15. That is awfully cheap. Has anyone bought one of these off of Ebay? They can't be much worse than the factory motors.

I would pick up a replacement from say autozone, its a tad more expensive but they do come with a lifetime warranty and if and when it goes bad again you can just take it back for a new one.

The last one I bought was $45 from my local parts store. It took a bout 2 hours to replace. It's a pretty small motor for the piece of glass it has to raise.

I would get it from VatoZone, since it has a LLT warranty. I am realy dreading the day I will have swap mine. It rolls up slower than dirt and makes all kinds of crazy noises.

It's not that hard. I used shoebox's instructions. I added a few holes in my inner door frame to aid in tightening the screws.

    I got the ebay one

Last August I purchased the ebay motor and was very happy with it. Looks identical to the one I took off and using the instructions I found on here, I did it myself. My roommate thought I was crazy when I brought the door panel in the house. I don't think she believed I would do it myself. It took about 2 hours because I had the time, and wanted to make sure I drilled the holes in the right spot. But everything lined up fine and my little ebay motor has been awesome for the past year!

I don't really worry if I will have to change it again. Now it shouldn't take 30 minutes because the holes are already drilled. Just taking the door panel off would take the longest.
