Dumb question about clearing codes
I have the SES lamp on. I'm pretty sure I just fixed the underlying cause of it. Do I need to wait for it to go away on its own, or do I need to clear it with an OBD-II scanner and hope it doesn't come back in a week?

If the correct problem was fixed, it will clear itself. But, I always just clear them instead of waiting

Even if you "clear the code" it still stays in memory for x amount of driving cycles.
This would only matter if you live in an area that requires a smog check.
