    Dumb EGR problem

I am in the process of removing the EGR and AIR in my 2000 z28, looking at all the how-to's and the pictures the EGR "hole" is right next to the AIR and both are facing up. Removing my EGR my "hole" is down lower and facing towards the front of the car. I got the top bolt out with some snaking around but i cannot find a way to remove the bottom bolt. I searched but didn't find anything. Any one have any advice?

got any pics of it? I thought they all faced up? You're talking about the egr unit itself correct? Where it mounts to the exhaust manifolds?

oh, sorry, thought you meant intake end. try going from under the car, just behind the radiator... or torque it alittle with a pry bar to get to it. you are removing it and not putting it back right? if so, just cut the tube and bend it out of the way to get to the bolt

i figured if all else fails i could cut the tube to get to it and down the road if i need to replace it i am pretty sure there is 1000's of ls1 owners with their removed egr sitting on a shelf they would be willing to part with.

I had no issue but I assume the 98 is different.

Swivels and extensions are the way to go

i feel dumb now, i tried many combinations of extensions and swivels. I ended up getting getting the bottom bolt out with just one 4'' (?) and a ratchet
