    door help

ok so my driver side door has nothing to stop the door from opening all the way. but my passenger door does. idk how to explain it i took a few pics. when i open my door it just swings open and hits anything near. so every time i get out of my car i have to hold the door with my foot or something. but the passenger door will stop in the middle. here look at the pics and tell me if you can help

here is my drivers door and it flings wide open

and here is my passenger door.

    thank you in advance

Go to the dealership, or a decent body shop supply company? They will probably have to order one though?

Well I'm still using mine so that's out, but maybe a salvage yard could help you.

GM part # is 20300149 I believe.....but then you'd have to paint it.

You can pull that spriing of any GM car pretty much, they all use the same hinges.

Getting the spring is the easier part. Compressing the spring to get it in there is the harder part. I also noticed some sort of shim on the upper part of the hinge on the driver door. I have never noticed one on any other car.

You need a door spring removal tool. Here is what it looks like.
