Dome lights stay on, keyless entry does not work

New to the board, first post here. I tried searching for this but no luck. Hopefully somebody can point me in the right direction.

97 Trans Am Convertible, my sons new 1st car (that he bought himself I might add). Yesterday we noticed the dome light wouldn't turn off. Also the remote locks quit working. We changed the battery in the remote, no help. I've found on some other forums that both of these items are on the same circuit so are probably related. Where should I start?

Your Body Control Module(BCM) could be acting up. I am going through the same thing with my GTO, just without the dome light issue. Others will assist in this thread.

Check the door latch. The dome light switch is build into the latch. You might have to take off the door trim panel to discount the harness from the latch one at a time to try.
