Does adding a cam hurt your brakes, braking power?
I was reading on another forum about this (vettes). Apparently a H/C package decreases the amount of vacuum you have or some shit. Then I noticed my brakes don't work half as good as they used to and I just installed a good size cam.
Any of you vets know?

it does ..that is why you will see a lot of cars with huge cams that are still street run electric vacuum pumps

If it's one of the bigger cams yes - put a vacuum guage on there and see what you have.

I didn't know this occurred. I'm guessing better pads and rotors won't even really help then...
Funny how big of a noob I am, even though I do all my own work.
