    disc pad shims

    hi all do you really need to use the shims that come with the disc brakes pad i really don't know what they are for any help i got ecb the green stuff thanks billyb

    Use them-they greatly reduce noise problems. Use something like "Silglide" or something similar to also reduce noise; and lubricate the contact points to reduce sticking caliper problems.
