    Dealership fixes mistake!

My WS6 threw an SES light about three years ago and I took it to the dealership to get it checked out. They said driver's side cat was bad and replaced it. Fast forward to last year. Started noticing a tick and exhaust smell in cockpit when idling. When pulling a steep hill in 6th gear you could hear a leak. Only drove it about 1000 miles last year so didn't really worry it. This year when I got it out of storage and started it, you could really hear it. While changing the oil, noticed that one of the studs on the drivers's exhaust manifold was broke off. Now, from the time they fixed it til now I have only put 7,000 miles on it. Knew I hadn't broke it. Took it in with original invoice from last service and explained that they had apparently broke it when installing the new cat. They hemmed and hawwed and said they would look at it. After finding exactly what I said they would, they replaced the stud and gasket for free. Labor and all! I really expected to get the runaround but they were really cool about it.

Most repair shops will fix anything that might be their boo-boo if you keep a cool head and ask the right way. Glad it worked for you.
