Does or has? anyone ever had a problem with a engine smoking only if it idles for a while. I'm talking bad oil smoke, but goes away after you take off down the road. It's got me stumped. Replace the pcv valve guess what that wasn't it. Some help would be appreciated.

Leaking valve covers or an oil pressure sender would be my guess.

I'm talking about out the exhaust smoking not under the hood. The car don't leak a drop of oil. Its the cleanest 4cy mustang you will ever see but I got the smoking prob Its the only ford powered ford I have.

Ive never seen valve seal constantly smoke after it idles for a while It only has 66 thousand miles on it. If I just crank it and go it don't smoke, but it is causing it to use 1 1/2 quarts between oil changes. I got it on the lift to check for leaks bc I can;t stand a darn oil leak.

Does it smoke on initial start up?

No there burning clean I use this car for fuel economy.

I would check all your plugs to make sure none of them are black, because if one of them is I would say you are getting blow by from one of your piston rings is whats causing it.

I had a 4 cylinder hyundai that did exactly that. Bought it for $900 and drove it like that for a year. Water pump went out... Replaced the water pump and it magically stopped smoking. Strange deal... Just figured I would throw it out there.

are you sure its not coolant? I think those things like to crack heads.
