Cts-v
I have a 2004 Cadillac CTS-V with some small engine modifications, like air intake, custom exhaust, and a preditor tuner. I woild like to know what external bolt ons we can do to get me as close to 400 rwhp as possible.

How much power do you have right now?.. What do you consider an external bolt on?.. Simple bolt-ons wont net huge gains..

Long tube headers, catback exhaust without cat converters, air intake, port and polish throttle body, FAST intake manifold, and a dyno tune should get you in the 375 to 390 RWHP range.

I was told the rear in the CTS-V and GTO were stronger than the 10 bolt.

Welcome from Livermore.
If you don't mind swapping out the headers every 2 years those will get you close to your goal.

I may have exaggerated a bit. But, yes the GTO rear is stronger, the 1st gen 04-07 CTS-V rear isn't too great. Ring gear diameter is 7.625" (same as the F-body 10 bolt). So, put a weak 10 bolt in an aluminum housing behind an even more power LS V8 engine and BOOM. They blow up.

I have heard horror stories about the CTS-V rear. Some folks have told stories about 5k launches and then BOOM. The new design took me by surprise as the rear is more offset to the driver side and one axle is shorter and of a larger diameter than the other to offset wheelhop.
