Cruise Quit??

i put some LED taillights in my 99 ss m6 and, related or not, cruise quite working.... fuse and cable are still good and it worked the same day prior to the bulb swap. i am looking for a circuit diagram and if this has happened to anyone else?? i will be swapping bulbs back tonight and see if that cures the prob, but damn its anoying!

you already said what I would tell you to do swap the bulbs and report back

i hear ya, just wanted to see if anyone else had a similar experience. since the ss third brake light is also led, could be the bcm isnt seeing a completed brake circuit due to low resistance.... just speculation as i am not entirely familiar with the gm cc system... now fords on the other hand

Im not that familiar I just think logical deduction when it comes to cars. Once I go through a problem it goes in the memory bank. This problem well...my car doesn't have cruise control and many other things

yep thats the problem. You need to choose between the LEDs or cruise control.There might be a way to trick the computer but I'm not sure how to go about it.

i think i will try an inline resistor in the circuit and see if that solves the problem...

i think ive run into the same problem...added LED's with the brake lights and now my cruise doesn't work

i also permanently grounded the ebrake wire though so i can turb my lights on or off anytime i want

Have you considered doing disabling the DRL and auto headlights this way http://xse.com/leres/ss/drl.html
