cruise control with traction control

I was hanging out with my buddy tonight who has an 02 ws6, i have an 01 ws6 but noticed his cruise control cable wasnt attached to his tb like mine is. is his cruise control in a different spot because he has traction control and i dont?

Nah that's not it. I have an 02 and traction control, and the cruise cable is where you'd expect it to be. The throttle cable and the cruise cable are about an inch apart...

Yeah that's weird. Maybe he's done some custom work that removed the cruise cable? You've got me curious now!

no idea, he just bought the car 3 days ago haha. car has nothing out of the usual bolt ons.....

I would have to look under my hood to make sure, but I am pretty certain cars with TC are different than cars without it. I could be wrong though, wouldn't be the first time

I have pics of this on my photobucket account, but I can't access it here at work. After work I have a Cubs game and then am spending the night at a gf's house after. I won't be able to verify until tomorrow night after work.

I thought it did. I can't remember. I know on non-TC there are 2 cables and on TC cars there are 3 cables...I think

I'll let you know tomorrow night.

I have traction control and cruise control and I have one cable to the throttle body.

ya thats what his looks like, i just wasnt sure because i havent seen a traction control engine bay before

I have t/c and cruise and its one cable like the pics posted above. The throttle cable goes over to the traction control module first then loops back to the throttle body.

Ok well now I am just embarrassed. My WS6 does NOT have traction control. My Cobra does. I was getting them mixed up in my head. Forgive this humble one's noobery...

So yeah, here's my non TCed throttle/cc cables:

And for comparison here's the Cobra's. Since it does have TC I would expect it to not have the CC cable there. I guess the setup you're seeing in the WS6s is not a 'universal' type setup...
