Corvette wiper problem
Good friend just picked up a 2000 Vette yesterday, found it down Carlisle this past week end. Black, 56,000mi six speed.
Anyhow it was raining when he picked it up and drove home after arriving home he turned off the wipers and he said they stop half way down.
They work correct and return to bottom on delay, low, high but when he shuts off the switch the go to the left stop point and then back about 1/2 way and Stop. Any help on why this is happening!99 Trans Am, SLP Lid, Blackwing filter, smooth bellow, Ported TB, LS6 intake, Ws6 lower ram air box, OBX LT's, Magna Flow cat back, LS7 clutch, Tick MC, Hurst Shifter, Frost Tune, UMI SFC,LAC, STB, PB, Torq Arm, Super Hawk hood, Torq Thrust II, Kee Audio.

I'm thinking the motor is on its way out, something in the wiper transmission is worn or if the motor was replaced, the transmission wasn't reinstalled correctly.

I got a chance just for a few minute's to look at them, really weird they seem to work just fine on all speeds until you shut them off and they go to the center and stop! Would the transmission cause this? someone was in there doing something cause the plastic cowl right above them is all busted like some moron who don't have a clue was in there.

I'm thinking the motor was replaced but the transmission wasn't set correctly. Remember, the wiper motor spins 360 and not back and forth. Might have to disconnect the wiper transmission, run the wiper motor, shut it off and reinstall the transmission with the wiper arms flat on the cowl. Only thing is, the wipers could swing down TOO low. It will take a few attempts before you have everything set correctly. You could also pull the wiper arms off and reset those. Keep us posted.
