Coolant
I don't know what brand I have in there it is orange in color. I check it periodically to make sure oil and coolant haven't made a milkshake it still looks clear. When I pull the cap off to the reservoir on the dip stick some crud has built up on it dark grayish in color and comes off when scraped with my finger nail. Curious if anyone knows the specifics as to what it is, and if it may be corroding the core or not. here is a pic the camera doesn't like to get much closer.

it's normal to get a little build up and crud.....nothing to worry about. Just follow the maintenance schedule on it. You have dexcool unless it's been swapped out. I just run global in mine that works with all types of antifreeze.

Always seems that any crud in the system floats to the top and ends up pushed out into the overflow tank. Our tank had some scale in it, however the radiator and block passages all looked like new when I flushed the system. As long as yours is the same way, I wouldn't worry about it.
