Navy Blue Metalic- 2000 Z-28
considering fiberglass SS hood
I have a 2000 Z-28 and ide like to dress up the look of the car with an OEM SS hood, but those things are almost impossible to find without spending $1200 for one from the factory. I really dont want too but i might have to buy a fiberglass good. Ive heard a lot of bad things about fiberglass hoods but i heard some good things about American Sports Car Design and how they make good hoods. Can anyone help me with some info so i can make an informed decision? Any info will be great.
Thanks!

VFN Fiberglass is also a good place for fiberglass hoods. They also have an oversized SS hood that looks more aggressive. www.vfnfiberglass.com

OOOH yeah ok. Yeah 2000SSMaro www.gmpartsdirect.com sells OEM SS hoods for $1230. They have great prices on everything. I didnt know that SS hoods were fiberglass but that makes sense i guess. So who makes a good SS hood? Ill check out VFN fiberglass right now.

Yeah i didnt really like VFN fiberglass ss hoods. But some of the cowl hoods were sweet looking but im not looking for anything that extreme.

Check out some of our sponsers, Ie Afterthoughts auto, They have a bunch of hoods for pretty cheap. There latches are also reinforced to help prevent breaking at the latch point. Kinda important, i lost a Rust stang due to a fiberglass hood breaking at 100+mph.
