Condenser and Dryer need replacing?
I was just wondering if anyone else has had problems with their A/C system? Mine went out last Spring and according to the estimate it needs the dryer and condenser replaced, $1,500. The dealership I bought the car from won't do anything about it, even though they put a used/rebuilt compressor on the car which according to the A/C guy, screwed everything else up.
I live near Memphis so you can imagine, the car stays parked during the day. 100 degree heat+black leather seats+T tops=

1500 sounds a bit steep, are you the DIY type?

Just on light stuff, oil changes, fuel filter etc.. I've never tried to do anything with the heat or A/C system. The labor is the biggest part of the repair, I think it was around $850.

its very easy, pull a part, replace it, then take it to have it vacuumed and charged...
